Magdalena Szumiło-Kulczycka, MEng

She obtained her Bachelor of Arts with Honors – Business Management in 2009 at Napier University in the UK, and completed her Master’s degree (field: Commodity Science, speciality: Product Quality Management) in Poland in 2010 at the Kracow University of Economics (KUE). In 2019, she completed her doctoral studies at the Faculty of Management, and in 2021 she began work at her Alma Mater at UEK. She is currently preparing a doctoral dissertation entitled “Product safety in the aspect of the threat of food terrorism”. In the dissertation, she attempts to identify the organizational and legal status of the food terrorism management system in Poland. However, the main goal of the dissertation is to develop a methodological model for managing the safety of food products in the context of the threat of food terrorism.

Quality and safety management, product management, food safety, food defence, food terrorism, consumer behaviour.

Production management and production logistics, brand management, product management, product management methods and tools, innovations in the service sector, quality cost accounting, creative thinking workshops and creative problem solving.

Other

In addition to research experience, she also has knowledge and skills gained in business practice, as a Quality Specialist (Owens Illinois), Project Specialist and TACCP Team Coordinator (Mondelez Polska Production Sp. z o.o. In this area, she also completed numerous specialist training courses (including Food Defense (PAS96), DNV×GL Production Plant Protection). She is a Certified Representative of the Quality Management System and Internal Auditor (PCBiC). In 2010-2013, as a Specialist for Cooperation and Development of the Education for Entrepreneurship Association, she co-managed high-budget educational projects with a nationwide reach. She is a certified Project Manager of the International Project Management Association Poland. During her scientific and research work, she participated in over 20 industry meetings, international conferences and scientific symposia.
